In this report we’re going to concentrate on one of the most annoying kinds of allergies, particularly to folks who love to consume. You head out to the local pizza parlor, arrange two pieces with additional cheese, sit down in the booth with your pizza in one hand and coke at another and chow down. A couple of hours later after you have arrived back home just in time to watch your favourite TV series, suddenly your stomach feels like it is going to erupt like a volcano.

You run like a madman into the toilet just in time to experience what appears to be the complete draining of your insides. Welcome to the world of food allergies and intolerances. In the case of the runs after eating a few slices of pizza probably you are lactose intolerant which is only 1 form of żywność alergia. Technically, you can be allergic to just about any type of food but there are a few that appear to be more common others. Before we go any further let’s define exactly what a food allergy is.
Food allergies can be separated into 2 categories. The first one is hypersensitivity. This is an adverse response of the immune system and is unrelated to any real physical impact of the food or food additive. These reactions are caused by immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies. The next category is food intolerance. This is truly a result of the food itself and isn’t a role of the immune system itself overreacting to the food or food additive.
The signs of an intolerance might be quite like those of an authentic immune symptom response but the causes are very different. Of the two, real immune system responses are the more common, even though it does seem that a tendency to intolerances, such as lactose intolerance, is on the upswing. What really happens with food allergies is that people with allergies produce IgE antibodies to specific epitopes from the food allergen. These antibodies bind to IgE receptors on the mast cells of tissue which are on the skin, digestive tract and respiratory system.
The vulnerability of these antigens leads to the release of histamines. This ultimately leads to mucus secretion and muscular contraction that then contributes to a wide assortment of symptoms that can range from unpleasant to severe or even acute. Allergic reactions to food can be deadly almost immediately after the ingestion of food. Probably among the most prevalent and dangerous of the food allergies are individuals that are allergic to peanuts. Just recently, as of this writing, a woman died simply from kissing someone who had eaten peanuts. That’s how dangerous these allergies can be.
