Research to the Lymphatic system has really taken off within the past two decades because immunologists proved clinically and unequivocally that lymphocytes produce antibodies which protect the body against germs and disease. Researchers then started to question whether obstacles in badly swollen linfa nodes might be the underlying cause of many different ailments which were mysterious the medical profession.
Es bueno saberlo
Other researchers also started to investigate whether it may be theoretically possible to unblock the lymphatic drainage system with masaje methods. In the first days of MLD, terapia was mostly focused on skin ailments and sinus problems linked to the face and head. It’s truly only during the past decade that developments in science have provided new insights and enabled microscopic analysis of the lymphatic system. Electron microscopes, tracer procedures, computers and macromolecular chemistry have supposed that researchers have made inroads and discoveries concerning the lymphatic system which were formerly considered pure speculation.
The very important substance DNA was found in the lymphocyte nucleus. This was a crucial breakthrough because DNA forms the basis of lifestyle and genetic traits in each cell, the very blueprint of vida was now known to be included in lymph. The lymph system therefore not only protects against disease, it’s a vital source of excellent health and life . Armed with this new info, immunologists went on to prove conclusively that lymphocytes are completely responsible for the creation of antibodies to fight all viruses and viruses.
An immunity that has evolved and developed to make us our right to live on Earth today. Given this information and how recently it has become apparent and conclusive, the medical profession is just now waking up to the true consequences of an unhealthy or damaged lymphatic system. The lymphatic system serves to wash and drain the body’s tissues, while also offering a defence mechanism which carries out vital protective purposes. To put it in layman’s terms, as red blood cells act as transport mechanisms for oxygen and carbon dioxide, the lymph fluid carries what is known as a “lymph-obligatory” load.
This is a combination of vital substances and toxins, which has to be returned into the flujo sanguíneo. Lymph carries plasma proteins essential to cells as building blocks of life; it also carries hormones and vitamins to cells and ruined or dying cells and waste products away from them for excretion. Some waste materials and dying cells carried by the lymph tissues are too big to pass through the walls of the lymph system and it’s therefore critical that they’re transported by the lymph. It can be seen therefore that the use of MLD in an unhealthy, slow, damaged or dysfunctional lymphatic system will be extremely beneficial to your patients overall wellbeing.
Lymphocytes carry building blocks to cell tissues and MLD greatly accelerates the delivery of the Lymph and thus the whole process of cell construction and repair. Countless lymphocytes are produced all of the time in the lymph cells, on average 35 billion daily increasing to 560 billion daily during times of disease and stress. It’s no doubt that today we’re living on a veritable swamp of germs and viruses. The deadliest foes by which humankind must compete are 7 microns in diameter. They execute lightning strikes which may reach the brain within 5 minutes of entering a cut on your finger, or via membranes in your eyes, nose and throat.
This is the reality of what our immune systems need to contend with on a continual, daily basis. They do this by keeping an arsenal of about 26 billion white blood cells. There are compound defenses, biological killer cells, macrophages, phagocytes, T cells, the list is endless. I’ve written previously about the link between a dysfunctional Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) and CFS/ Fibromyalgia patients. Now I will start to explain this link in greater detail and discuss the effect MLD has on the ANS. The ANS we know includes the Sympathetic nervous system and the Parasympathetic nervous system.
The Sympathetics are often called the “day nerve” which make us active and enable us to work, the Parasympathetics are called the”night nerve”, letting us sleep and renew our strength. Both of these nerves extend throughout our whole body all the way to our skin. In a wholesome subject the ANS is closely balanced between the night and day nerve. However in modern, so called civilized sociedad we must contend with anxiety, the environment, a faulty work/life equilibrium, and a denial of our biorhythmic sleep routines. Everything is disturbed and we no longer have a natural balance within our Autonomic systems.
Therefore the Sympathetic nervous system predominates; we’re constantly on the go. Our sleeping patterns, rest, recovery and repair as controlled by the Parasympathetic nervous system becomes faulty and submissive and we start to experience depression and fatigue. At this stage people are often diagnosed with “stress” and are discharged from work, or take whatever rest they need. I’ve summarized this process not because it’s some relation to CFS and Fibromyalgia but since it functions as a superb analogy in knowing what happens to CFS and Fibromyalgia patients on a much more insidious scale.
The initial trigger that began your episode of CFS or Fibromyalgia caused lesions on your brain and spinal column that have left your ANS ruined and in a sympathetically dominant condition. In those who don’t have any musculoskeletal imbalance and a healthier Lymphatic system these lesions then fix themselves over the course of 6 weeks and they progress from initial infección to Post viral syndrome to become completely recovered. The imbalance in the ANS has a cascade effect causing immunological and endocrine dysfunction, with additional detrimental effects on the whole lymphatic system. The slowing down and dysfunction of the lymphatics is partially what’s making you feel so badly together with the continuous irritation of the Sympathetic nerve.
Muscular hypotension results from a subconsciente background; our conscious mind is overridden by sensory and motor functions at will. The sources of the subconscious activity are from the Autonomic centers of the brain and spinal column, exactly where lesions have been microscopically identified in CFS and Fibromyalgia patients. MLD has the effect through massage of the skin to quicken lymph circulation and cause a very powerful soothing effect on the sensitive nerve endings of the dominant Sympathetic system, and through this can start to fix and rebalance the ANS. I’m writing this in such a way that viewers should now be piecing together the pieces of the puzzle and what’s happened to them, the whys and wherefores that quiz all providers and patients engaged in the Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue mystery. Understanding the puzzle is critical for any treatment strategy to work. It’s not enough simply to take the treatment without understanding WHY you’re accepting the treatment.
